Flow (also known as "Optimal Experience" or "getting in the zone") is a subjective experience of full engagement. Time passes differently, external concerns no longer exist, and there is a sense of control and unity with the activity at hand. People used to think only professional athletes and artists had this experience, but Positive Psychology teaches us that there are certain preconditions that anyone can create to enter this exciting state of psychological flow. In this workshop we'll learn about each precondition of flow with hands-on activities that lead up to one of the most flow-inducing activities known to (wo)man: rock climbing. We'll also touch on the practice of Mindfulness and its relationship to flow. The workshop is FREE so bring your friends, family, extended family, acquaintances, and friendly strangers.
P.S. No one is ever forced to leave the ground (Challenge by Choice), and as you'll learn in the workshop, finding the challenge that works for YOU is one of the most important preconditions to experiencing flow.
